Laura Roppe-roaring country music star!
Seems to be the runner up in Kenny Chesney "Next Big Star Competition" in May 2008 is the springboard next country music star is needed, as Laura Roppe's debut CD can attest. The CD "Girl Like This" will soon take the music scene country by storm, as this singer and composer share is more than just country music ear candy.
For many years, his career in the music was second to a legal career, marriage and motherhood, but when the "pica music" was too strong, he returned to his career in music. In 2006, Laura was the lead singer of the popular Southern California, CoolBandLuke cover band, performing songs cover artists like Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Blondie, Lucinda Williams and Kelly Clarkson. Combining an eclectic mix of influences (like Indigo Girls, Carly Simon, Shania Twain, among many others) and unique voice Laura and fresh style, the first CD is a weight matrix of the country nervous girl sounds and rare, intoxicating country flavors. The single, "Mama Needs A Girls Night Out" is a general principle of country radio and full of fun Country music, lyrics memorable ( "Babies on the brain" and "get their tight jeans on") and a mother "Gone Wild" chorus that every mother who hears the court can identify. And when you add inventive guitar work, violin and exciting musical work has a stellar recipe for success. The title track, "Girl Like This, "combines a Shania Twain-like insolence with a contagious melody and feel comfortable in the lists of Country music.
"Fly Fly Fly" with Edie Brickell-like voice, is a fun, country Ditty and makes you tap your foot with anticipation and sing along. "Float Away May remind some of Jodie Messina, but others may hear vintage Carly Simon and the song is sung with angelic precision and passion. The cut "Little Girl" could be your song signature, with poignant, emotional lyrics sung and played with tenderness and warmth which shows that he is sincere.
Other topics include the sashaying cut "Ooh La La" with great guitar licks mixed with cleverly unique country growl and spicy solos. "Come To Me" is another number fantastic country with the dream of words and achingly tender acoustics. "Sing A Love Song" is full of inventive harmonies and a chorus irresistible. And cut, "Crazy About You And Me" can be just a new look at love and a delicious catch wrong.
In general, no reduction Bass Laura Roppe's debut CD, a girl like this. "The music transcends the boundaries of traditional country music and is full of expressive vocals, pop cultured country and well designed, and instrumental parts will certainly take the country music scene by storm. This wonderful debut album is exactly what the music country has been sought and for my part, I can not wait to hear more!
